Biological Based Studies

My Biological Based Studies are a collection of drawing and painting experiments. They are rooted in the natural world; drawing inspiration from the intricate forms and structures found in biological materials such as lichen, mushrooms, bark, feathers, spider webs, cells, veins, and more. While each piece is unique and abstract in its own right, they all share a common thread of organic influence that ties them together.

Working primarily with mixed-media on paper, I approached these pieces with a sense of curiosity and play, allowing my hand and mind to become fully immersed in the creative process. The result is a series of small yet powerful works that showcase the beauty and complexity of the natural world.

As I drew these pieces automatically, my imagination and love for nature took over, bringing together plants and animals in all their intricate details, colors, and textures. The result is a collection of works that not only celebrate the beauty of the biological world but also speak to the power of the creative process and the importance of staying connected to the world around us.
